How each row is built.
Sources
| State | Official source | Fields |
|---|---|---|
| Florida | AHCA FloridaHealthFinder | License type, original license date, administrator, phone |
| Georgia | DCH Healthcare Facility Regulation | License type, date, administrator, phone, email |
| Arizona | ADHS Licensing | License type, date, administrator, phone |
We do not use NPI or business filings to decide who is licensed. Those are separate signals.
Freshness
Each issue states the date the data is complete through. The current issue is complete through [COMPLETE THROUGH DATE].
Florida AHCA posts licenses 4 to 8 weeks after the license date. A license dated this week may first appear a month from now. We re-scan a 16-week window every week and add late rows, marked as late.
Classification
Not every new license is a new business. A change of ownership produces a new license on an existing agency. We label every row:
- De novo: a new agency with no prior license at that location or under that owner.
- Ownership change: an existing agency licensed under a new owner.
We use two signals: the state license record, and the business formation record. When the entity formed shortly before the license, the row is likely de novo. When the license replaces an earlier one, it is an ownership change. If the signals disagree, the row says so.
Quality checks
- Every row keeps its official source link.
- Duplicates removed by license number.
- Counts reconciled against the state total each week.
- Fields copied as published. We do not rewrite names or numbers.
